Gardening can be a lot of trial and error but mostly in the end plants seem to somehow survive if their placement is close to what the plant label reads.

Hey Karrie -
What an awesome nutshell :)
Some of my most cherished childhood memories also come from loooong drives with my family (to camp in North Caroline) - it is absolutely where I learned to love classic rock and the soundtrack for Cocktail.
I also have perhaps some small understanding of your intrigue and love with South Africa... While I was travelling in Israel this January I was confronted with extreme contradictions in beauty and oppression - safety and danger - love and suffering. I felt isolated coming back to Canada in some ways because I hadn't quite been able to process everything. I'm just starting to gain some perspective on all the experiences now.
I'm so glad you're looking forward to travelling more... It does feel like an inspiring and important path.
oh and also - I remember the excitement upon your return from Aruba!! :) And all the many fun nights spent awake and alive and laughing over dress choices, flowers, hairstyles, colours.... :)
xoxo, bj

Karrie,
You are seeking connection with other people on much deeper level than
most people are prepared to accept. I guess, culture which require people to hide their feelings, avoid confrontation at all costs, keep most exchanges only skin deep and produces very shallow interactions between
people.
You have lots of feelings, lots of thoughts to exchange but hold them back
inside because you do not expect other people to understand. That is
probably right - many will not understand. When you have many people like that around you, you may feel that there is no way, you can communicate with them and feel isolated.
There is nothing wrong with you and nothing wrong with trying. You will find
people, who will really be able to share, and when you do, that will be rewarding experience.
Do not be afraid of being judged. Judging is easy. Even the most stupidest
person can point finger at others and say ..."stupid"... .
You have nothing to fear. You are smart, witty, sensitive, honest and well educated person. If somebody does not like that - to bad for her or him.
Do not let other people stop you from being who you are and from achieving what you want to achieve.
Set your goals to satisfy yourself, not to please others. You have to be
happy with yourself in order to have happy and fulfilling life.
As in old polish saying ... fool is going to laugh at, but wise one will
understand... .
By the way; you could write short stories and place them on your blog
- writing is definetely your thing. Love Jo.

Karrie, you are getting more mature and start to notice that everyday life is not that easy. Couple of years ago you were promising student with plenty of options. Now, you are working day after day and in the end that does not significantly changes your life every single week. Life seems monotonous and lacks exitement. I do not really want to say that but it is"welcome to the adult world" thing. Schools are preparing people to support themselves. Happiness and fulfillment you have to find on your own. Asking all those questions is a very good starting point. Good luck!
I am not very big fan of fast paced and very exiting (whatever that means today) way of living. People are just trying to zip trough their life with heads spinning and hair curling from exitement ( it is like eating more and faster). I actually like to enjoy my life slowly and peacefully ( it is not easy to do and not always possible). I like to take time, while eating my breakfast, sitting in my quiet living room at dawn, watching how early morning light filters thru the air. Birds are singing. World is miles away. Life is beautiful.There... That is my kind of happiness and fulfillment. Job is just to provide that kind of environment. But I am not complete stranger to "burning needs and pressing desires" ( or the other way around) of jobs, careers, successes. I understand. LOve Jo.
